Bagger / Fork Truck Operator

Position Summary


Operate and perform reload of plastic film on bagging system. Be able to safely operate 5000 lb fork truck and load both flat bed and box trailers. Also must be able to learn skills in warehouse management of inventory load in / out along with general housekeeping  


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Safely operate Fork truck ( training will be provided )

Operate small hoist to load rolls plastic film on bagger / thread film into bagger.

Operate semi automatic palletizer / load pallets into dispenser with fork truck

Operate stretch wrapper and top sheet dispenser

Take finished product off conveyor and either stack in inventory or load out trucks ( fork truck )

General clean up of work areas as needed



Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)


       High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred

       Valid Driver’s License

       Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions common to Equipment operated

       Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions

       Ability to effectively communicate in writing and verbally

       Ability to observe proper safety precautions

       Ability to establish effective working relationships with other employees, supervisors, and the public

       Ability to perform heavy manual tasks

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.


While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts, and is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibration. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to airborne particles, and risks of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
