The Philanthropy Coordinator is part of the NY Philanthropy Team located in The Nature Conservancy New York’s Central & Western Chapter. The Philanthropy Coordinator works on a variety of fundraising activities, Board of Trustees management, and administrative and program support. This position is based in Rochester, New York, and reports to the Senior Philanthropy Officer.

The Philanthropy Coordinator will be responsible for various activities, including drafting correspondence and acknowledgements, assisting donors with asset transfer, planning logistics of meetings, and assisting with the planning of special events for prospects and donors. The Coordinator will perform administrative functions for key senior staff and will act as the chapter’s board liaison. The Coordinator may provide program information to prospects and donors, assist with the preparation and assembly of proposals to foundations, corporations and other donors and assist with donor research. The Coordinator will use the fundraising management system to produce reports and perform analysis and research. The Coordinator will provide other staff with information they need to make decisions and solve problems and may have substantial contact with staff, donors, legal and financial professionals.
